About Me

I grew up in Los Altos, and attended Bullis Purissima (now Gardner Bullis), Egan, and Los Altos High School. As an adult, I moved back to Los Altos with my wife (Becky) so that our children (Ella, now a Junior at MVHS and Zoe, now in 8th Grade at Blach) could have the same wonderful LASD experience, first at Springer and then at Blach.

I have spent the last 10 years getting to know the parents, teachers, administrators, and volunteers that make Los Altos School District work. I’ve celebrated their successes, heard their concerns, and put improvements into practice as the PTA president at both Springer and Blach, as a regular participant in district-wide PTA leadership meetings, and as a member of the steering committee responsible for the creation of Los Altos Education Partners - the most important and consequential restructuring of the LASD fundraising model in a generation. Los Altos Education Partners will not only reduces confusion about the respective roles of LAEF and the schools’ PTA’s, but will also ensure equity across all of our campuses, making sure all LASD students have a consistent educational experience, no matter what school they attend.

When I’m not working to make LASD the best it can be, I work as an intellectual property attorney, which I have been doing for the last 20 years since graduating from law school in 2006.
